If you want to save a WhatsApp chat externally or share it with friends, you can forward it by email. We show you how to do this.

iOS: Forward WhatsApp chat via email

Start WhatsApp and tap on the “Settings -☻ Chats” item at the bottom.

• Tap “Export Chat” here and select the chat you want to forward by mail.

• The next step will ask you if you want to add the media or export the chat without media. Make your choice.

• In the next window you can decide how you want to export the chat. Slide the options to the right until the option “Mail” appears.

• Tap on it and enter the mail address to which the chat should be forwarded. It will then be sent as a ZIP file.

Of course, you can also send a WhatsApp chat by mail on an Android smartphone
