You can download YouTube shorts like other videos on YouTube and save them on your smartphone or PC. All you need is a free tool or to download the clips from a website.
How to save YouTube Shorts
With YouTube Shorts, YouTube offers a new section with small films with a maximum length of 60 seconds. With this, YouTube wants to compete with the top dog TikTok with short videos.
- You can download the short films and save them on your smartphone or PC just like the other YouTube offerings.
- You can download and save the short clips without an extra app. However, if you have an iPhone, this only works in Safari.
- Call up the desired clip on the Youtube short page. On the PC, copy the link of the clip in the URL bar. On the mobile device, tap the share icon. Select “Copy link”.
- In a new tab, go to the savefrom.net website and paste the copied link into the text box and tap the arrow or “Download” next to the text box.
- Set the desired quality and tap “Download”.
- Alternatively, download the films using a tool. For example, you can use the 4K Video Downloader for Windows or Mac. If you want to save a short video on your Android smartphone, download the app. However, this app is not available for iOS.
- Copy the link of the clip in the URL bar and paste it in the 4K Video Downloader via “Paste link”. You can specify the format, quality and storage location before starting the download by clicking on “Download”.
