Set up & install Sky X: This is how it works

With Sky X, you can stream the entire Sky programme on the Internet in Austria. You can read how to set up Sky X in this step-by-step guide.

Stream Sky X: What you need

To set up Sky X, you need either the Sky X App or the Sky X Streaming Box. The advantage here is that you don’t need a SAT or cable connection, just a stable internet connection. As a recommended internet connection, you should have at least 10 Mbit/s in order to be able to play HD recordings without any problems.

• You can use Sky X from Austria on many devices.
• For smartphone and PC, the programme can be accessed via the Sky X App.
• You can also access the full Sky X programme on your Smart TV without any additional hardware. This is possible on Samsung Smart TV models from 2015 or LG Smart TV models also from 2015. Simply install the Sky X app on the Smart TV.
• You can also access Sky X from Playstation 4 without additional hardware.
• For older TVs, the Sky X Streaming Box can be used.
• You can register four devices at the same time. It is also possible to run two streams at the same time.

Installing Sky X on your PC or Mac

In addition to installing Sky X on your smartphone, you can also install it on your Mac or PC using the Sky X app.

• To do this, open the Sky X page with a browser.
• In the Download Sky X App section, select the Windows app for your PC. If you have a Mac, select the Mac app to install Sky X.
• Unzip the file and start the installation of the Sky X installer. After the installation, you can log in to Sky X with your registration data.

The Sky X App on your smartphone or tablet

If you want to install Sky X on your smartphone or tablet, you can do so via the built-in app store. Note that the offer is only available in Austria so far.

• To set up Sky X on your iPhone or iOS tablet, go to the App Store. In the App Store, search for the Sky X app and install it.
• On an Android smartphone or tablet, installing Sky X works the same as on an iPhone. To do this, go to the Google Play Store and search for the Sky X app. Install the Sky X app and log in to the app.

Set up the Sky X App for Smart TV and Playstation

• If you have a Samsung Smart TV, go to the Samsung Smart Hub on your Smart TV. There, look for the Smart X app and install it.
• For an LG Smart TV, find the Sky X App in the LG Store and download it.
• To receive Sky X on a Playstation 4, go to the Playstation store and download the Sky X app.
• If you have an older TV, you will need theSky X Streaming Box. You can order a different streaming box for each of the three Sky X packages.
• To set up the streaming box, connect it to the internet. To do this, you can connect the streaming box with the WLAN or LAN cable.
• Then connect the Streaming Box to an HDMI connection on your television using an HDMI cable. All you have to do now is switch on the box and you can access Sky X.
