Signal conversation request: block, delete or accept messages

Signal conversation request: Accept messages

The messenger Signal does not automatically allow users to view or write to other users’ profiles. To do this, you must first accept the conversation request.

• Once you have received the conversation request, simply click on Accept. The other person can then view your profile and write to you via the chat.

• The person will then be added to your contacts. You can then reach them by phone.

• Signal also sets up read receipts when you accept a conversation request. This allows you and the contact to see in the chat history whether a message has been read or not.

• Read receipts are only displayed if you and the contact have previously activated this option in your Signal settings on the respective end device. You can find this under Data protection

Block or delete entertainment request signal

You can also delete conversation requests from Signal or block the user or group.

• If you are not interested in the conversation request, you can simply click on Delete. It will then be removed.

• If the request comes from a group of which you are a member, you will be automatically removed. To rejoin this group, you must make a separate request.

• If you decide instead to block the entertainment request, the relevant persons will be blocked. You will not receive a notification about the blocking.

• The blocked users will no longer see any updates to their profile. This includes your profile picture, for example. However, they will also no longer receive any notifications about the contact until you unblock them again.

• Blocked groups, on the other hand, receive a message about the action. They are also automatically removed and it is no longer possible to add them again afterwards.

• Furthermore, the group contacts will no longer have access to your profile. You will no longer receive any notifications from the group.

• Tip: You can unblock blocked users and groups via the privacy settings by using the Unblock option.
