You can easily reset the common “For you page” (personalised page) on TikTok. This will allow you to see new videos and re-save your interests
Reset “For you page” on TikTok
If the video suggestions on TikTok on your “For you page” do not match your interests, you can reset them by clearing your cache. Here’s how:
- Open the app and go to your profile. Then click on the three lines at the top right and select “Settings and privacy”.
- Scroll down to the heading “Cache and mobile data” and select “Free up memory”.
- Clear the “cache”, i.e. the temporary data storage of the app.
- You can also unfollow accounts or remove liked videos. You can find these in your profile on the right on the heart icon.
- You can also mark videos that you do not like as such. To do this, open your “For you page” and click on the share icon (arrow) at the bottom right. Then select “Not interested” at the bottom. You will now see fewer videos with these topics or properties.
