You don’t just have to have a sufficiently large channel to get YouTube Playbuttons. There are other requirements for the coveted awards
Get a YouTube Playbutton: Requirements
To receive a YouTube Playbutton, you must fulfill certain requirements.
- Your channel needs a certain number of subscribers: Silver Playbutton for 100,000, Gold Playbutton for 1,000,000, Diamond Playbutton for 10,000,000 and the Red Diamond for 100,000,000 subscribers.
- Furthermore, your channel must be active, not canceled or associated with a canceled account. This means that you have uploaded content within the last six months. In addition, it must be your own content and not reuploads or compilations
- You must not have violated YouTube’s Community Guidelines in the last 365 days and must comply with YouTube’s Terms of Use. Furthermore, you must not be excluded from the YouTube Partner Program, but you do not have to belong to it
- The type of content you distribute with your channel is very important. YouTube checks all channels thoroughly. If it is misleading or fraudulent content or spam, you will not be eligible for the Creator Awards.
- Attention: A Youtube Playbutton belongs exclusively to the operator of the channel. It is not permitted to sell them or give them to someone else.
Delivery of the YouTube Playbutton
Once you have fulfilled all the requirements for a YouTube Playbutton, all you have to do is start the delivery process. This runs as follows:
- You will automatically receive a redemption code for the Playbutton from YouTube. You must enter and confirm this code on the specially created redemption page
- In the next step, enter your delivery address. You must also enter your channel name and how it should be displayed on the play button.
- After that, all you have to do is click on Order now. The delivery process will then be started by YouTube. You do not have to pay the shipping costs for the Creator Award yourself
- The average delivery time for the Playbutton is up to three weeks, depending on where you live. It is possible that the Playbutton will end up at customs, which can extend the delivery time. You will receive a delivery confirmation including tracking number from the delivery company.
- You must bear the costs for customs yourself if these are incurred.
- Important: If your Youtube Playbutton arrives damaged, you can notify Youtube via the support e-mail youtubecreator@societyawards.com. You have a maximum of seven days from receipt of the award to do so.
