To unlock the Apple Watch, there are several options available to you. This way you can choose the way that is most convenient for you.
Unlocking the Apple Watch – this is how it’s done
You have the option to unlock your Apple Watch manually and automatically:
- Automatically unlock your Apple Watch using your iPhone. However, to automatically unlock the Apple Watch, the iPhone must not be more than about ten metres away. To automatically unlock the Apple Watch, open the Apple Watch app on the iPhone and first go to “My Watch”.
- Then go to “Code” and finally to the option “Unlock with iPhone”. You also unlock the “Unlock with iPhone” option on the Apple Watch. If you then activate your iPhone later, it will automatically unlock your Apple Watch.
- If you prefer to unlock your Apple Watch manually, simply exit Idle Mode and then enter the code. If you want to change the code, first select “Code” and then “Change code”. If you want your code to contain more than four characters, deactivate the “Simple code” option beforehand.
