It’s important to regularly update your VLC Player. Not only will you get new features, but you’ll also close security gaps.
VLC updates – autoupdate does the work for you
It only takes a few clicks to update your VLC.
- Open the VLC media player and click on “Help” in the top horizontal bar.
- Select “Check for updates…” to open a window that searches for the latest version. If a new version is found, click “Yes” to download the update.
- Once the download is complete, you will be asked if you want to install the patch. Confirm by clicking “Install”.
- To keep your previous settings, select “Upgrade VLC using previous settings”. Now just click through the setup routine and your VLC player is up to date.
