If you want to create a WhatsApp group without contacts, this works via an invitation link. However, this is only possible under one condition.
To create a WhatsApp group without contacts
Normally, you invite members to a WhatsApp group via your contacts saved on your smartphone.
- But if you want to invite someone to the group whose contact you have not saved, send them an invitation link.
- For this to work, you must be the administrator of the WhatsApp group.
- Open the WhatsApp group you want to invite to and tap on the three dots in the top right corner.
- Select “Add participant” here and then “Invite with link to group”.
- WhatsApp then generates an invitation link. Below this you will find various options. For the first option “Send link via WhatsApp” you would need a contact.
- But since you don’t have the contact, copy the link and send it to the relevant person by email, for example.
- Alternatively, select “Share link” and send it via Twitter, Facebook or another messenger to invite people without a contact to your WhatsApp group.
