How to connect your Huawei with a Windows PC
The best and also easiest way to connect your Huawei to your PC is via cable. Most of the time, your charger consists of a USB cable and a separate adapter. If this is not the case, then you can get a suitable USB cable at a reasonable price.
- Connect the USB cable to your smartphone and then connect the cable to the USB socket on your PC.
- The PC will then recognise your smartphone. A window appears on the screen of your Huawei in which you have to choose whether you want to charge the smartphone on the PC or “transfer files”.
- Select “Transfer files”.
- Now a window opens in your PC and you can transfer the desired data to your PC. Otherwise, you will find the smartphone similar to a hard disk or a connected USB stick under “This PC” in the Explorer.
- Bluetooth: You can also connect your smartphone and your PC via Bluetooth. First start the Bluetooth connection on your Huawei device. Now do the same on your PC and select the device as soon as your computer has found it.
- Alternative: To back up your data, newer Huawei devices have what is called the “Huawei Mobile Cloud”. This allows you to store your data online and access it from your PC and mobile phone at the same time.
Connect Huawei to a Mac
You connect your Hawei to a Mac just as you would to a PC.
- With the help of the programme, you can transfer the data from your Huawei to the Mac.
- To enable communication between your Mac and Huawei, you need the Android File Transfer application. You can find this as a free download from us.
- Take the charging cable and connect it to your Mac.
- You can also transfer data to your Mac via Bluetooth. To do this, enable Bluetooth on your Mac and turn on Bluetooth connection on your Huawei.
- Now select the Huawei device from the list on your Mac. If this is the first time you are connecting the device to your Mac, you will need to reconfigure the device first.
