Google Search: Change location manually – this is how

If you want to change your location in Google Search manually, this is only possible to a limited extent. You can only correct the location to the correct location, but you cannot use the wrong location.

Instruction: Manually change location for Google search

By now, Google is quite good at recognising the location of users. Manual adjustments are therefore unfortunately no longer possible.

– Open the Google website and search for a term of your choice.

– If you scroll down to the very bottom, the current location will be displayed there.

– Click on the item “Update location” there.

– You may still need to allow Google access in the top left-hand corner.

– Editing the location by entering a city or postcode is no longer possible. Google now reliably determines the location on its own.
