Using Komoot on Garmin: What you need to do

Before you can connect, you first need the Komoot app and, from Garmin, the Connect app and the Connect IQ app. You can find these in the Playstore. Download and install the apps.

Then proceed as follows:

  • Create a Garmin Connect account in the corresponding app. Alternatively, you can also create an account on the Garmin website.
      Next you need to search for Komoot in the Garmin IQ app. Then click on “download” and accept the relevant terms and conditions.

  • Now you need to synchronise both programmes. To do this, log in to the Garmin Connect app and place your smartphone next to your Garmin navigation device.

  • The synchronisation will now start automatically. However, you still need to verify it. To do this, you need to select your smartphone in the Garmin Connect app.

  • The first part of the installation is now complete. However, you still need to confirm this with Komoot.

Use Komoot with Garmin: The final steps

You have already registered with Garmin and installed all the necessary apps on your smartphone. Before you can use your data from Komoot on your navigation device, you must also register or log in there:

  • To do this, you need to open Komoot on your Garmin. Then use your PC or smartphone to visit the Komoot website, where you can connect your devices with each other.

  • Log in with your access data. If you don’t have one yet, you will need to create a new account.

  • You will then be prompted to enter a code. This code will be displayed on your Garmin when you open Komoot.

  • Now you need to confirm your login details from Garmin again. Then you can use Komoot on Garmin.

  • You can now transfer your tours from Komoot to your Garmin navigation device. Your planned tours are visible for one month.
