Fortnite fakes: these alternatives and fakes exist

by Johannes

Fortnite fakes copy the battle royale classic from Epic Games almost one-to-one. Alternatives, on the other hand, are inspired by certain game elements

Fortnite: Fakes of the battle royale presented

Since the release of Fortnite, there have been numerous fakes that aim to recreate the look and mechanics of the battle royale game.

  • One of the fake highlights is the game 1v1.LOL, whose design is immediately reminiscent of Fortnite. You drop onto a much smaller island and play with a maximum of 15 other players, many of whom are just bots. This is a typical feature of Fortnite clones
  • The situation is similar with BuildNow GG – Building Shooter. This game is available for numerous platforms and offers sophisticated building mechanics in addition to gunplay. The Fortnite inspiration is immediately recognizable
  • In Roblox, there are also creations that completely imitate Fortnite. They are significantly chunkier, as they are reduced to the Roblox engine.
  • An interesting Fortnite fake for many players, on the other hand, is Voxiom. This is a battle royale in the Minecraft voxel style. In this game, you are armed with a shovel for building and have to outlast the others
  • What many Fortnite fakes have in common are the not so well-filled servers and numerous bugs. They are often not balanced and therefore limit the fun of the game in the long term.

Fortnite: Alternatives instead of fakes

If you want to play a different battle royale, you should take a look at the following alternatives to Fortnite:

  • PUBG: Battlegrounds is one of the best-known battle royale games alongside Fortnite. As in build zero mode, you drop from an airplane, collect weapons and mods and try to survive the blue zone. However, the focus in PUBG is much more on the weapons and their upgrade options
  • Another alternative is Apex Legends. This battle royale is much more about teamwork and the different classes that are available. As a result, Apex Legends offers a completely different multiplayer focus
  • If you are a Call of Duty fan, you can fall back on Warzone. COD: Warzone throws you into action-packed battle royales with up to 120 players per lobby. This ensures significantly more kills and lots of loot
  • Also interesting is Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt. This battle royale is set in the Prague of the Vampire: The Masquerade universe and you not only have to drink the other players, but also NPCs. This will upgrade your powers, which is essential for victory.
  • Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is recommended if you prefer a battle royale without weapons and violence. Here you compete against other players on obstacle courses and in mini-games. Each level reduces the number and at the end you have to reach for the victory crown.
