The Gamescom games fair takes place every year in Cologne. Here we show you which highlights you must not miss.
Gamescom 2023: Video game highlights
The games fair is well positioned in all genres. But there are highlights every year:
- As every year, Gamescom kicks off with Opening Night Live. Moderated by Geoff Keighley, numerous new trailers are presented here.
- 2023, game developer and publisher Nintendo will finally be back with its own stand and games such as “Fae Farm”.
- For fans of smaller studios, the Indie Arena Booth with more than 60 game titles is definitely worth a visit.
- Also, as every year, there will be lots of goodies and loot packages to give away. So you have to stay alert and check out websites such as this one.
Gamescom: Technology and Entertainment
Besides the games, there is a lot of entertainment at Gamescom. Many stands that have nothing to do with the games are worthwhile:
- Razer (Europe) GmbH: A visit to the manufacturer of gaming equipment is worthwhile every year. Very often, high-quality devices are given away here! With a little luck you can get your hands on something.
- Gamescom Cosplay Village: After the hustle and bustle in the often very crowded games halls, you should make a detour to the “Cosplay Village”. Even if you are not actively participating yourself, a visit is always worthwhile. Here, many different cosplayers present their new costume creations.
- Gamescom Event Level: Don’t miss the Event Level. Here, away from the crowds, you can watch all kinds of sportsmen and sportswomen or take part in events yourself. As a long-time video game fan, you shouldn’t miss out on the “Retro Games” corner either.
- The internet broadcaster “Rocket Beans TV” will again be present at its own stand in 2023. In addition to live recordings, there will often be activities with visitors here.
