Hide the formula bar in Excel – Excel 2007
- Open Excel 2007 and click on the Office button at the top left.
- Select “Excel Options” and scroll down to “Display” in the “Advanced” tab.
- Check the box “Show edit line” here.
Show formula line in Excel – Excel 2010
- In Excel 2010, click on “File” and then on “Options”.
- Select the “Advanced” tab and go down a few sections to “Display”.
- Here you activate the checkbox “Show editing line” and confirm with “OK”.
