Phlox is also known as the flame flower and blooms in shades of pink, purple or white. Depending on the variety, it grows between 10 centimetres and 1.40 meters high. The perennial can be combined with many different plants. It looks particularly beautiful if you place the tall plants at the back and the low ones at the front.

  • Larkspur: The purple flowers of the larkspur are an ideal color match for the phlox. The plant flowers from June.
  • Helenium: Helenium, also known as sunflower, goes well with phlox. You can enjoy the yellow-red flowers between June and October.
  • Chrysanthemums: To extend the flowering period in your garden as far as possible, you should also plant chrysanthemums with the phlox. These can shine brightly from August until December.
  • Gypsophila: Gypsophila complements phlox, as it forms a delicate frame for the rather strong flowers of the perennial. Gypsophila is available in white or pink.
  • Aconitum: Aconitum, or Monkshood, and phlox also get along well. The purple, blue or yellow flowers show their splendor from July to August.
