Instructions: How to Clean Your Oven with a Lemon

Once you have all the supplies ready, you can start cleaning the oven.

    1. Squeeze a lemon using a lemon squeezer . If you don’t have a lemon squeezer on hand, you can also use lemon essence or citric acid.
    2. For safety reasons, you should pour the lemon juice or essence into a heat-resistant glass dish, as citric acid can be too harsh for some baking sheets.
    3. Preheat the oven to 100 to 120 °C with the glass dish inside. If your oven has this feature, turn on the convection setting after a few minutes of preheating. This helps the steam reach all corners more effectively.
    4. Let the oven run until all the liquid has evaporated.
    5. Afterward, let the oven cool down slightly with the door closed. Once the oven is cool enough to handle, start wiping down the interior with clean water and a microfiber cloth.
    6. By now, all the burnt-on residue should have come off completely.
