Netflix trial month – does it exist?

There is currently no trial month with Netflix. You used to be able to test the service for free for 30 days, but since 2020 you need a subscription to watch content

No more trial months with Netflix: These subscription options are available

Netflix is by far the world’s most popular video-on-demand service. As with Amazon Prime, Maxdome and Co., you could take out a free trial month until mid-2020. This is no longer possible. Instead, you can now choose from the following subscription options:

• Standard subscription with advertising: There is the option of a basic subscription with advertising for 4.99 euros per month. It includes movies and series Full HD (1080p), 2 devices can watch simultaneously, as well as downloads on 2 devices.

• Standard subscription: Exactly the same as the previous version in terms of content and services, only without commercial breaks. You can get it for 12.99 euros per month.

• Premium subscription: For 17.99 euros per month, you can watch your content in 4K. You also get 3D audio and HDR on top. You can watch on 4 devices at the same time, downloads are possible on up to 6 devices

• All prices are as of: January 2024.

How to subscribe to Netflix

We explain below how to take out a regular subscription to Netflix:

• Open the Netflix website, enter your email address in the corresponding field and click on the “Get started” button.

• Click on “Next”, enter your desired password and click on “Next” again.

• Now select the desired model. Here you have the choice between Standard with advertising, Standard and Premium.

• Now leave a payment method. You can choose between credit card, direct debit, PayPal or a Netflix gift card.

• If your payment method is accepted, your Netflix subscription will start from now on. If you do not like the service, you can cancel Netflix at any time.

• Tip: Using your Netflix subscription on a smart TV is a little easier with the Fire TV Stick. With the extra Netflix button and the option to select specific content via voice control, you can get to your favorite series faster.
