How to embed an image next to text in Open Office
– When you insert an image in Open Office, it is first assigned its own line. Text is accordingly displayed above or below the picture, but this is often undesirable and does not look nice. Fortunately, this can be easily changed, the function needed for this is called circulation:
– Insert an image into the document.
– Click on the picture with the right mouse button and select Picture… from the context menu. from the context menu. Alternatively, simply double-click on the image.
– Switch to the Circulation tab and select one of the available options for the circulation:
– None: This is the default option. Text is displayed above and below the image, but not next to it. In front of: Text runs to the left of the image. Behind: Text runs to the right of the image. Parallel: The text runs around the image on all four sides. Passage: The image is above the text. Dynamic: With this option, a dynamic text rotation takes place on all four sides.
Further options allow you to define the spacing between text and image, limit the text rotation to the first paragraph or create an outline around which the text is to run.
Now drag the image to the desired position next to the text.
