The Story function on Instagram is becoming more and more popular. This is not least due to the ever new features that Instagram brings out. You can now add music to your Story and make it even more creative. We’ll tell you how in this practical tip.
Creative idea: Create Instagram Story with music
The process for adding music is identical on Android and iOS and is very simple.
- Open the Instagram app and go into camera mode. Here you can now take a picture or video, or choose one from the gallery.
- Now you can add all kinds of stickers by tapping on the sticker icon in the top right corner.
- Select the music sticker. Then a kind of catalogue opens where you can use the magnifying glass to search for specific songs. There are also the tabs “Popular”, “Mood” and “Genre”, in which you can additionally browse for suitable tracks.
- Tap on the matching song to add it to your Instagram story.
- You can now pick out the desired part of the song in the timeline. You can also determine the length of the song excerpt. The maximum is 15 seconds.
- Newly, there is also a song text function where the song texts are displayed as an overlay. If you want to set a different font for the lyrics or hide the lyrics altogether, you can switch back and forth between the different modes by briefly tapping on the song lyrics. For example, you can also display only the song cover.
- Tap on “Done” to complete the process.
