On Tinder, you can now view the online status of profiles and your matches. This makes it easy to see if people are actually still active on the dating app. Read more about it here.

The online status on Tinder makes it easier to gauge whether your match is actually still active on Tinder. Often conversations run out or matches do not lead to further contact. Many Tinder users also use the app less than others, but of course still show up under profiles.
- The online status therefore makes it easier to gauge how active a person actually is on Tinder. Three green dots next to the profile show that the person has been online in the last 24 hours. However, the app does not show the exact time.
- The new feature has been automatically rolled out to all users of the Tinder app. However, you can disable it if you wish if you don’t want other users to see if you’ve been online.
- To do this, tap the profile icon in the top left corner of the app and then go to settings. Scroll down and tap on “recent activity”. Tap on “activity” so that the button is now greyed out.
- Under “Online now” you can turn on or off whether users see that you are currently using the Tinder app. You can also have “Online Now” enabled but “Recent Activity” disabled, or the other way around.
