Cause of backwards typing is usually a bug in Windows.

• First of all, update the driver of the keyboard to rule out a problem in this area.

• If the keyboard continues to write backwards, start the command prompt as administrator.

• Enter the command “Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth” without inverted commas and confirm with the Enter key. Use this command to check the system for damage.

• To repair detected damages, enter the command “Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth”, also without inverted commas. Press the Enter key to execute the command.

Defective system files as a reason for keyboard errors

Possibly a defective system file is responsible for the keyboard writing backwards.

• You can also check this possibility via the command prompt.

• Type the command “sfc /scannow” without quotes. The command will cause Windows to check the file system structure.

• If Windows finds errors here, the programme tries to fix them.

• If none of the above works and the keyboard continues to write backwards, you will need to perform a system restore.
