The Toniebox also has an offline mode that you can activate or deactivate with a few simple steps. This can be practical when you are on the road, for example, if you don’t have a network available.
How to activate the offline mode on the Toniebox
You can also use the Toniebox on the go without W-LAN. In this case, however, only Tonies that have already been loaded and no new Tonies can be played. The offline mode is useful so that your music box does not constantly search for available networks. Here’s how to activate it:
- Press an ear to switch on the Toniebox. There must not be a Tonie on the box.
- Press and hold both ears of the box for about 5 seconds. Then a signal sounds.
- The box on the Toniebox flashes blue, you can release the ears.
- Now hold down one of the two ears again for about three seconds until the blue flashing changes to a white glow.
- The Toniebox confirms your action with the announcement: “Offline mode is now activated. “
How to deactivate the offline mode on the Toniebox again
To activate changed contents of a creative Tonie or to play a new Tonie, you have to switch from offline to online mode again. Here’s how:
- Turn on the box by briefly pressing an ear. There must not be a Tonie on it.
- Hold down both ears at the same time until the LED field stops flashing white and lights up green.
- The Toniebox will then say: “Offline mode has been terminated. “
