If you have problems with your XBOX controller, a reset is recommended. However, as there is no reset button directly on the controller, you will have to proceed differently to do this.
How to reset the XBOX controller
Many devices have a reset button. If they do not function properly, they can be easily reset to their original state with it. However, this is not possible with the XBOX controller. However, you can proceed as follows if you have problems:
- You can switch your controller on and off yourself. This is similar to a reset. To do this, first press the XBOX button on the controller for about 10 seconds.
- If the XBOX controller has switched itself off, you can switch it on again. To do this, you must press the XBOX button again.
- Many problems can be solved in this way so that you can use the controller again.

If restarting the controller did not work, you can do the following:
- Connect the controller to your XBOX. To do this, you will need a cable with a USB port for the console and a micro USB port that you plug into the controller.
- If the XBOX controller now works, the batteries may be defective. If the error persists, you may suspect that your controller is defective.
- Sometimes it can also help if you update your Xbox One controller.
