Decathlon returns: This is how the return works

A return at the sportswear manufacturer Decathlon can be done with a few clicks. There are certain points to note here.

Decathlon: Returns at a glance

At Decathlon, you have 30 days to make a return from receipt of your order at no additional cost.

  • To initiate the return, visit Decathlon’s returns page. There you either enter your email and order number or log in with your customer account.
  • Select the items you want to return. Then you can choose whether you need a DHL (store/packing station) or bulky goods return (DHL/Hermes).
  • You will then receive a return label that you should print out. If a printer is not available, you can use the QR code displayed in the return to obtain the return label at a DHL or postal branch.
  • Pack the order and send the package off. You do not need to include documents such as a return slip in the package. Return shipping is free as long as you do not use another shipping company.
  • If it is bulky goods, you will be contacted by a shipping company afterwards. Through them you will receive a pickup date for the return.
  • Tip: You can also return products directly to a store. For this, you only need the invoice number and the goods. Some stores or sports equipment usually require an appointment for the return.
  • After the return has arrived at Decathlon, it will be checked. If everything is in order, you will receive the corresponding amount via the payment method you used for the order. The refund will be made within seven days.

Decathlon: What you should consider when making a return

To make sure your Decathlon return goes off without a hitch, the following points are important:

  • The goods must be undamaged, clean and complete. Do not cut out labels, otherwise the return will not be possible.
  • Partner products offered through the online store cannot be returned to Decathlon. The return is only possible via the enclosed return label to the partner.
  • It is not possible to exchange items. In this case, you must place a new order.
  • You will receive a postal receipt after the return has been sent. This contains the shipment number and should be kept by you in case the return is lost.
