Contact Instagram: How to reach support
Although Instagram was bought by Facebook, support remains separate from the social network for now. However, you won’t find a real contact person at Instagram:
- Instead, the service offers an extensive help page. If you have a problem, click on the items in the left-hand column that best describe the error. This way you will get a detailed solution for all common problems.
- Alternatively, you can use the search box at the top of the web page to search for specific problems.
- If you can’t find a solution here, you can contact Instagram support via social media. To do this, send Instagram a message via Facebook or contact support via Twitter with the abbreviation “@instagram”.
- There used to be an option to contact Instagram support via email. This option has been discontinued and you will only receive an automatic reply that redirects to the help section of the website.
Instagram app: how to report errors in the
You can also report certain problems via the Instagram app. Photos and screenshots are important here for problem solving.
- Open your profile and tap on the menu button with three horizontal lines (Android) or the cogwheel symbol (iOS) in the top right-hand corner to access the settings.
- Then you can go to “Help” ☻ “Report a problem” ☻ “Report a problem” to describe your error and send it to Instagram.
- If you can’t log in at all, you have the option to press “Help logging in” on the login page. This will reset your password and you will soon be able to access your account again.
