• Particular highlights include the wide selection, attractive prices, and the option to pay easily via PayPal. Many users report that refunds for undelivered or damaged items are handled reliably.
• However, there are also some points of criticism. For instance, some customers complain about the very long shipping times. On average, products arrive at customers’ doors within 5 to 45 days. Since shipments originate from China, however, this is not unusual.
• Added to this is the existing €22 customs threshold and the associated potential additional costs and hassle of customs clearance should the amount exceed this limit. Furthermore, the chargeable return shipping is criticized. Additionally, some customers complain about additional customs fees incurred with their order.
• Customers seem to be more or less satisfied with the products. As with many items from China, it’s always a matter of luck whether you’ll receive a solid product for surprisingly little money. Fashion items have the fewest quality issues.

• If you order a product from Joom, you have two hours to cancel the order. After that, your order is processed and shipped. 
• Once your order status changes to “Awaiting Shipment,” you can no longer cancel it. This is because Joom serves solely as a sales platform; the products are shipped by various sellers who offer their items for sale through Joom.
• You can return items within 14 days of receiving the shipment without providing a reason. You can also request a refund if items are defective or damaged. This is possible within 180 days of receiving the goods. To do so, contact Joom’s customer service.
• According to Joom, shipping can take 7 to 13 days. If the order has not been shipped after 13 days, you can request a refund. This also applies if your product has not arrived after 75 days and is therefore considered lost.

What to Look Out for When Ordering

If you want to order from Joom, there are a few things you should keep in mind.

• When ordering, pay attention to the seller and product ratings. Often, multiple sellers offer the same items for sale. 
• If you’re worried about your money and don’t want to trust Joom completely, you should pay via PayPal in the store. Thanks to PayPal Buyer Protection, you’ll get your money back without any hassle, even if Joom doesn’t respond or refuses to issue a refund.
• Make sure you don’t pay more than 22 euros per order, including shipping costs. Otherwise, you will have to pay customs duties on the product, meaning an additional fee, and pick it up in person at customs. Even for orders under 22 euros, you may have to pick up your package at customs for inspection.
• If there is a problem with your order, do not contact the seller. Instead, contact Joom’s customer service. You can do this via Joom’s tracking page.
• Also, keep in mind that returning the goods to China incurs a fee. For inexpensive items, this is therefore usually not worth it.
