You can easily find out the IP address on your Mac. If you want to display it, you only need to take a few steps to reach your goal.
How to find out the IP address of your Mac
To find out your own IP address, all you need to do is briefly press a few keys:
- Hold down the shift and alt keys on your Mac at the same time.
- While holding down the Shift and alt keys on your Mac, click the wi-fi icon in the top menu bar on the right.
- A menu field appears. Here you will see a lot of interesting information about your computer and network.
- You will also find the IP address of your Mac here.
Display IP address through network program
You can also view your Mac’s IP address through your Mac’s network utility:
- In the search field of your Mac, enter the search term “Network Utility”. You will find this in the top menu bar under “Help” if you have just opened the “Finder”.
- In the “Information” tab, select the connection you are interested in and the IP address will be displayed.
