With family planner apps, you can keep track of the appointments of all family members. We present the best programmes for smartphone and tablet in this article.

Famanice – Family Calendar: All-rounder for every family

Even if the name doesn’t suggest it: “Famanice – Family Calendar” is more than just a calendar app. The free tool for iOS and Android offers numerous features that families will love in everyday life.

  • Features: With “Famanice” you can not only set up a family calendar with appointments for all family members, but also create joint shopping lists and to-do lists. To synchronise the data, each family member installs the app on their smartphone, tablet or PC and registers for free. Then everyone receives a notification as soon as a member makes a change. Especially nice: Thanks to a private chat function, “Famanice” can even be used as a WhatsApp alternative.
  • Usage: Even if the design of the family planner app is no longer the latest, the operation is convincing. The menus are clearly structured and the set-up is self-explanatory.
  • Price: The app is free of charge.

If you prefer something simpler, you should take a look at the calendar app “PlenoFamilie”. The tool is free to download for Android and iOS.

There is also a recipe box where you can store your favourite recipes and plan dinner together.
  • Usage: Despite the abundance of functions, the family planner remains surprisingly clear. The only drawback: The free app is currently only available in English – a no-go if the app is also to be used by small children who do not yet know English.
    • Price: The basic version is free. For an ad-free version with more features, a subscription must be taken out for 31.99 euros per month

If you only want to know the appointments of one member, you can display them separately. In addition to pure appointments, the app can also share shopping and to-do lists. There is also a chat for a quick exchange.
    • Usage: Once the family planner is set up, it is easy to use. Public holidays and school holidays are automatically taken over. However, synchronisation with other calendars in the free version only works with the standard calendar app on your smartphone. Synchronisation with Google or Outlook only works with the paid version.
