With MIUI 14, Xiamoi plans to introduce a new version of its in-house operating system before the end of 2022. Based on Android 13, MIUI 14 will bring new features and bug fixes to the phones via update.
MIUI 14: These are the new features to come
2022 Google has released the 13th version of the Android operating system. Immediately after the release, the major mobile phone manufacturers then usually implement a custom version of this system so that the phones can stand out from the competition.
- Since neither a release date nor a teaser has appeared so far (as of October 2022), it is not yet possible to say exactly what Xiaomi will shine with in their UI this year. In view of the updates that have been released so far, however, we can make some predictions.
- The control centre of the smartphones is to be fundamentally overhauled. The general design is also very likely to be adapted, as there have always been minor or major changes in this area so far.
- Xiaomi also wants to revise various apps that come with the watch. It is possible that the clock will get a new overlay, the calculator will become more modern and the music app will be given new functions.
- It is currently unclear exactly when the update will be released. However, it is realistic that the update will be released at the same time as the Xiamoi 12T series in autumn. A release with the Xiamoi 13 towards the end of the year is also not out of the question.
These phones will receive the update
No details have yet been released by Xiamoi on which phones will receive the update. However, based on Xiaomi’s previous updates, the site GizChina has created a list of all the devices that are very likely to receive the update.
