In many cases, it happens that the PS5 no longer turns on. The causes can be very diverse, for example, a missing power connection.

Often the cause is simply that the Playstation is not supplied with power.
- Accordingly, first check whether the console is plugged in at all.
- If this is the case, test with a mobile phone cable and your smartphone, for example, whether the socket generally works.
- If a defective socket can be ruled out, check whether the mains cable is in working order. Unplug it from the PlayStation and plug it back in after a few minutes.
- If it still does not work, try a different power supply.
Other causes
Before you buy a new power supply, make sure that none of the following is the problem.
- Because it often happens that the unit is simply overheated because the ventilation is covered. In this case, wait until it cools down and then try to start it again. In this case, it is recommended that you clean the ventilation slots, or have them cleaned.
- Sometimes a manual restart is simply necessary by pressing and holding the power button for 15 seconds.
- Another cause may be that the connection cable between the console and the display is not plugged in correctly and the screen remains black. Make sure that the connector is in the correct position.
- If these solutions do not help, reset the PS5. However, all previously saved data will be lost.
- A last possible step is to send in the console and have the error found by experts.
