Not everyone is necessarily familiar with the meanings behind the Hells Angels’ patches. Here are the answers.
Here’s what the Hells Angels’ patches and jackets mean
Every member of the motorcycle club known as Hells Angels wears a jacket with various patches. What they all have in common, however, is the typical lettering and the accompanying club emblem: a skull wearing a helmet with wings. The club’s colors are white and red. In addition, the name of the respective local chapter is visible on the jacket.
- Dequiallo: This lettering is reserved for a member who has seriously injured a police officer.
- Filthy Few: If a member has killed a member of a rival motorcycle club, they are entitled to attach this lettering to their jacket.
- Red Light Crew: If this lettering appears on a Hells Angels patch, it indicates involvement in the red-light district.
- 1% Logo: Anyone wearing a patch with the 1% lettering identifies themselves as an outlaw.
- Every member wears a patch that identifies their role within the club. For example: “President” for the respective leader of the charter.
