Enable WhatsApp on your Huawei Band 7
The Huawei Band 7 provides the ability to view WhatsApp messages. To enable this feature, follow the steps below:
- To use the feature, the Huawei Band 7 must already be paired with your smartphone. To do this, you need the Huawei Health app on the device.
- Next, open the Health App and navigate to the devices. This option is located at the bottom of the app.
- Then select the Huawei Band 7 from the available devices. A new window will open with all the information and configuration options for the device.
- Click on the notifications. A list of all apps that can send notifications to the Huawei Band 7 opens. Select WhatsApp to complete the activation.
Features and limitations of WhatsApp on the Huawei Band 7
Huawei’s Band 7 can be used with WhatsApp in the following ways:
- Primarily, the Huawei Band 7 can only display received messages. As soon as a chat message is received, it is displayed as a push notification on the Band 7 screen.
- It is not possible to use calls or video chats. You will only be shown that there is an incoming call, which you can answer via the mobile or desktop app. Similarly, you cannot start new chats or groups.
- Direct file transfer is also not possible. Emojis, pictures, voice messages and videos are not displayed and must be accessed via the app.
