It is not uncommon for the receipt for your DHL parcel to get lost. If the parcel is received by the recipient, this is not a problem. It’s a different story if the parcel gets lost. What you can do in this case is explained below.
Lost DHL parcel receipt: What you can do
If you have lost the receipt for your shipped DHL parcel and this parcel does not arrive at the address of your choice, there is the option to start a search request.
- To start a search request, open the DHL website and follow the instructions.
- To do this, you absolutely need the shipment number If you do not know this either, there is unfortunately nothing you can do.
- You do not have to show the receipt for the search request itself. So you can hope that the parcel will be found.
- However, if your parcel is not found and you are asked to provide proof of posting, you will again need the receipt in order to receive compensation. In that case, you will therefore not receive any compensation.
